Sex & Nudity
Violence & Gore
Profanity
1 to 10

MPAA Rating: PG-13

From October 16 through October 28, 1962, America was on the verge of nuclear war with the Soviet Union. In this dramatization of what the White House was undergoing during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kevin Costner stars as Ken O'Donnell, special advisor to JFK. Also with Steven Culp, Dylan Baker, Michael Fairman, Bruce Greenwood, Kevin Conway, Tim Kelleher, Bill Smitrovich, Henry Strozier and Frank Wood. [2:24]

SEX/NUDITY 2 - One mild kiss. We see a covered man and woman in bed together, with the man holding the woman. One brief reference to a man sitting on another man's lap and enjoying it.

VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - Note: While there is not much overt violence or gore in this film, the crux of this movie is about nuclear war. We see a couple of bombs detonate, with a few shots of the ensuing fiery mushroom cloud from the explosion. A plane is shot at several times and hit by several bullets but remains intact (no one is hurt). Several shots are fired from a ship, but they hit nothing. A plane is shot down and explodes, with several detached pieces of it going down in flames; the pilot apparently dies. A boy is tackled during a football game. Lots of footage of war machinery: various missiles, bombs and guns.
