Hired to convince
a young millionaire (Jude Law) living in Italy to return to the States, a young man of
modest means (Matt Damon) becomes part of a wealthy circle of friends (including Gwyneth
Paltrow and Philip Seymour Hoffman) and takes drastic measures so he can continue living

SEX/NUDITY 7 - Some sexual innuendo and some kissing. It's implied a
couple is having intercourse, though all we see are their bare legs and the woman's
bathing suit bottom at her ankles. We see a nude man's backside and genitals as he
gets out of a bath tub (another man looks at his bare backside for a few moments); also,
we see a man's bare backside when the towel wrapped around his waist falls to the
ground. We see several men and women in bathing suits.
VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - A man hits a person in the head with an oar and then beats
the person to death (we only see the first blow, though we do see lots of blood on and
surrounding both of them); also, a person is beaten to death with a stone bust (we see the
person's bloody head as it's being beaten and also see blood and what looks like
brain matter on the bust). We hear the sounds of someone being strangled and we see a man
choking another. A man pretends to shoot another during an opera (a red scarf flows on the
floor surrounding the man's body and looks like blood). We see a body floating in the
ocean and a corpse with blood on its coat being dragged someplace. A woman hits a man
repeatedly and a man slaps another's face and arms repeatedly. A man falls off his
moped and has some welts on the side of his face. A man kicks over a table. We hear a man
and woman screaming and throwing things at each other. We see a spot of blood spreading on
a bathrobe and a man with bloody fingers.
