After her jerk of a husband is brutally murdered, a deluded Kansas waitress (Renee Zellweger) goes to Hollywood to meet the love of her life -- a character on a daytime television soap opera. SEX/NUDITY 6 - Some sexual innuendo, including references to oral sex and lesbianism. Passionate kissing -- in one scene after kissing a man accidentally rips a woman's shirt and we briefly see part of her bra strap. We hear a couple having sex (moans and squeaks), and then we see the legs of the characters moving up and down as the man thrusts many times while he's on top of the woman (he has his pants on but unbuckled and she is covered by him); we also see her nails digging into wood on the couch while they're having sex. A man pulls up his pants after having sex; we see his underwear. We see a woman put on her underwear (only the tops of her bare legs are visible). A clothed man with his pants unbuckled and unzipped (we can see some of his underwear) makes a thrusting gesture several times in front of a woman. We watch two women kiss on television. A man walks around with his robe open; his chest is visible. We see a naked woman in a magazine. We see a scantily clad woman in her nightgown. We see a man's bare chest and a few shots of cleavage.

VIOLENCE/GORE 8 - Threatening with guns, with several shots fired. A man is scalped; we watch the knife's blade slowly cut into the man's head, and streams of blood drip down his forehead and face as he writhes in pain. The man doing the scalping pulls the scalped man's hair and shakes his head several times causing blood to both cover and fly off his face; eventually the scalper pulls a hunk of hair off the man's head and holds it in his bloody hand. We see a very bloody, clothed corpse. A man is shot in the chest (we see the bloody wound) and dies. A man is shot and blood runs out of his mouth; another man is shot and killed. A man is hit by a car; a car runs into an ambulance. A man puts a gun to a woman's head; a woman puts a gun to a man's head. A man punches another man in the head a few times. A woman slaps a man in the face. A man slams a man into a glass window. A man with a white shirt on has blood all over his face, shirt and hands. Blood squirts on a woman's white dress.
