"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME

Lost & Found | 1998 | PG-13 | - 3.4.4

David Spade steals Sophie Marceau's dog in the hope that they can spend time together while looking for it. Also with Patrick Bruel, Artie Lange, Jon Lovitz, Mitchell Whitfield, Martin Sheen, Estelle Harris, Rose Marie, Marla Gibbs, Carole Cook and Christian Clemenson. [1:35]

SEX/NUDITY 3 - Lots of sexual innuendo and three kisses: in one scene, a man kisses a woman's neck and then her lips. A man unbuttons a woman's shirt and puts his hand on her bikini-clad breast. We see a woman's bare buttocks and a man's bare buttocks, and one man's buttock cleavage; we see a woman's bare shoulders and a man's bare chest and back (in a non-sexual context) and a nude man holds objects in front of his genitals and buttocks. We see women in bikinis, slips, cleavage-revealing tops and short skirts, as well as shirtless men. A boy accuses a man of molestation (the scenes are comical rather than dramatic). A woman sitting in a chair spreads her legs for a few seconds before she places a cello between her knees (no nudity is seen, but her legs are very obviously open).

VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - Mostly played for laughs: A man throws a woman onto a table and it breaks (she falls to the ground but is unharmed), and a woman accidentally runs into a man and falls on top of him. A flame bursts out of an oven and nearly burns a man. A dog is dropped, thrown into a room, flung into a car's backseat when the car stops suddenly, and put into a clothes dryer (we hear it thumping around and yelping, but it's not harmed). It's implied a boy shoots a dog in a movie clip we see several times. A man accidentally throws a live goldfish into a dog's mouth. A cello falls on a boy, a man flips off a toy horse and a man accidentally knocks a boy unconscious. A woman grabs a man's leg while he's walking away and is dragged for a few steps. Some verbal threats. We see a dog lying next to a puddle of vomit. A man wearing gloves roots through lots of piles of dog feces and rubs some on his cheek. A woman passes gas loudly.

LANGUAGE 4 - Many anatomical references and several scatological references, mild obscenities and insults.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Deception, falling in love, following your dreams, courage.

MESSAGE - A relationship can't grow if it's based on dishonesty.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
