A city family moves to the country, where the legendary collie helps them find happiness.

SEX/NUDITY 0 - An adolescent romance results in a kiss on the cheek.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A man is shown dead after a road accident, although there is no blood. A scary scene where a boy is trapped in a cave with a wolf: Lassie and the wolf fight viciously, and there is some blood. There are a few fist fights, resulting in scratches and bruises. Guns are drawn, and a gun is trained on Lassie. Two boys get caught in water rapids and head toward a waterfall. A sheep is shown mutilated with flies buzzing around it.
