An Oscar-winning director (Woody Allen) who's no longer a hot Hollywood commodity is asked to direct a new property by his ex-wife (Tea Leoni). If he's successful he'll finally manage to pull himself out of his current slump. The problem is that his neuroses cause him to go blind just as shooting begins.
