MPAA Rating: R

Twisty caper drama written and directed by David Mamet about three men and a woman (Gene Hackman, Delroy Lindo, Ricky Jay and Rebecca Pidgeon) who plan one last heist after being swindled, by a more unscrupulous thief (Danny DeVito), out of their cut of a previous robbery. Also with Sam Rockwell and Patti Lupone. [1:47]

SEX/NUDITY 4 - A man tears open a woman's dress, kisses her neck passionately and they apparently have sex although nothing is shown (she appears shocked but does not appear to resist). A woman is shown in revealing outfits several times; a halter dress shows her bare back, shoulders and thighs, and a pair of shorts shows part of her buttocks. A man and woman share several glances suggesting something sexual. There is quite a bit of sexual innuendo with references to why a woman is with an older man; references to a man's physical endowment, references to infidelity.

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - There is a gunfight on a pier which leaves 4-5 men shot to death and two men shot and injured (one wounded man is rolled into the water presumably to drown, another man has a very bloody face and is badly wounded and a man shoots him at point blank range with a shotgun). A man is threatened by holding his young niece hostage; she is released and he is shot (this happens behind a closed door, but we hear the shot). There's a fight with several men shoving, punching and kicking each other. A man shoves a man against a wall while the victim draws a gun and shoots three times breaking some glass in an office, and the aggressor then knocks him to the ground and punches and kicks him. A man walks into a street, is hit by a car, tossed on the hood and rolls off onto the ground. A man hits a man on the back of the head and he falls to the ground unconscious. A man punches a man in the stomach and he groans and falls to the ground, a man punches a woman in the face (we see a bruise and a scratch on her cheek), a man is threatened for information (we see some dried blood on his face suggesting he's been beaten), a woman is tasered and falls limp, a man takes another man's gun and points it at him, a man slaps a man in the face and kicks him in the stomach. A man walks through a dark warehouse after hearing a noise, he sneaks up behind a shadowy figure, kicks him, grabs him and holds a gun to his head. A man threatens a man with a gun, fires it and punches and kicks the man several times (we see him tied up on the floor). Several bodies are seen in a jewelry store after the people have ingested coffee laced with a knock-out drug. A gas canister is thrown into the cockpit of a plane and we see the crew struggling to get out, but they are overcome. A van is driven recklessly, nearly runs into a semi and drives off the road. A man talks about a man having been shot in the face. A bomb explodes in a garbage can and a bomb explodes blowing up a airport runway shack (both as diversions). Two police officers hold guns on two people, and there are a couple of other scenes when people are threatened with guns. A van chases an airplane and cuts it off on a runway. Men break glass display cases in a jewelry store to get at the jewels. There are several verbal threats between characters. Two men yell at each other abusively, a man yells at a police officer, a woman yells into a telephone. There are many tense moments during the robbery scenes when the crew is nearly caught.
