» In the next few weeks we will be trying out In-Text Advertising, a new type of advertising that we think is less intrusive than many other formats. Basically, keywords on our pages that correspond to an advertiser's product or service will be double-underlined in green. More details here.
A boy who's running a neighborhood
dog-walking service, happens upon a dog that appears mean. However,
after befriending the dog he realizes that his new canine friend is
actually an alien agent who's on Earth to gather information which
will lead to an invasion from a distant planet. Realizing that all
dogs are aliens who decided to stay and become the best friends to
humanity, the boy must somehow save them from being shipped back to
their home world. With Liam Aiken, Matthew Broderick, Megan
Mullally, Brittany Murphy and Kevin Nealon. Directed by John
Hoffman. [1:28]
SEX/NUDITY 0 - A boy and a girl hug.
VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A boy throws stones at a dog. Two
boys shove a boy and a girl to the ground and threaten to hit them,
and several dogs surround them and snarl aggressively. Two boys
tease a boy, and two boys tease a dog. A dog snarls and barks
aggressively at other dogs, people, a fire hydrant and a statue of a
cat. Dogs chase two boys through streets. A man talks about a dog
being euthanized. A boy follows a dog through very dark woods. A dog
flies through the sky and crash-lands in a pond, other dogs jump
from high places (a window ledge, the back of a chair) trying to fly
but just manage to fall hard to the floor. A spacecraft crashes into
the ground and smolders -- its passengers appear uninjured. A flash
travels across the sky and we hear a loud noise (later we see a
crashed spaceship). We see a dog trapped by an animal control person
and later see many dogs in cages at the dog pound. People grieve
when their dogs disappear. Two boys kidnap a dog and take him to a
barbershop threatening to give him a haircut. A dog urinates on a
tree, a boy picks up a dog's feces, and a dog flatulates loudly in
several scenes. There are many scatological jokes regarding bowel
movements, anatomy and flatulence and dogs. A boy comes out of the
bathroom after flushing the toilet and a dog says, "I drink out of
that bowl."
