MPAA Rating: PG

While historical records indicate that Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled to the island prison of St. Helena where he eventually died in 1821, this film relates an alternate course of events: Ian Holm plays both Napoleon and a man who resembles the emperor and takes his place in prison. The real Napoleon becomes a sailor on a ship bound for France where he hopes to regain his position. Also with Iben Hjejle, Tim McInnerny, Tom Watson and Hugh Bonneville. [1:47]

SEX/NUDITY 2 - A man and woman kiss each other and caress each other's faces. A man and woman are shown in bed together, in their bedclothes, a few times; one time she holds his hand. We see a bare-chested man in a bathtub a few times, and once he stands up to be wrapped by a sheet (the sheet blocks our view of any nudity). A woman's dress exposes some cleavage. There are a few discussions, in veiled terms, of a man's sexual conquests. Men and women dance at a celebration.

VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - A man appears to have a stroke of some sort, he falls off a stool and we hear that he is dead; men talk about the situation over his dead body, which is on a table. A man falls and sprains his ankle; we see him sprawled on the street and then in bed with his foot wrapped. A man is taken away in a prison carriage (he struggles and yells). A man panics and runs in fear when he is taken to an asylum and he sees some of the other patients; when he runs, he climbs over a stone wall that has bits of glass protruding from the top edge and he cuts his hand. A woman stitches up a man's hand with a hooked needle and thread and we see him suffering from a fever. A man threatens another man. Boys follow a man through a street and throw small stones at his back. Two small dogs sitting on a woman's lap snap and snarl at each other. A man urinates against a tree (we hear the trickle), a man discusses another man having a bowel disorder, and a man flatulates. We see a man's dead body lying in a coffin. A man talks about the infamous Bluebeard having chopped off the heads of his wives. A woman says, "children love all that blood and gore." A woman chases a chicken, she catches it and puts it on a chopping block while holding a hatchet (she's interrupted and lets the chicken go). A woman pulls the feathers off a dead chicken. A man and woman have a snowball fight, he puts some snow down the front of her dress, and she screams.
