MPAA Rating: G

An ant and his rag-tag army of bugs stand up to bullying grasshoppers in this computer-animated Disney flick. Voices include Dave Foley, Kevin Spacey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Hyde Pierce, Denis Leary and Phyllis Diller.

SEX/NUDITY 1 - Very mild flirting between two ants.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A number of bugs are punched, kicked, and knocked down, but all mostly unharmed. A bug is stuck on flammable flypaper which is threatened with lit matches. A bug seems to get burned by a fireball but is alive. A flying device carrying several bugs catches on fire and crashes. A bug falls down (presumably dead) after getting zapped by electricity. Mosquitoes are used as darts in a game. Two bugs are buried under seeds and we don't see them again. A bird tries to catch bugs but fails. We see a scuffle during which a bug hits another and begins to strangle it; a bird then snatches the aggressor and apparently feeds it to its young. Grasshoppers appear mean and menacing throughout the film. Somewhat gross scenes: Flies land on and begin to eat a "poo-poo" platter and a mosquito drinks some blood -- a "Bloody Mary" -- at a bar. We see an ant with a black eye.
