The MPAA rating has been assigned for “some suggestive references, language and thematic elements.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes a few kissing scenes, an implication of impropriety, several arguments, a death by natural causes, references to death by car accident and illness, and some moderate language. The roof is leaking at Downton and the family must decide whether to allow a film crew to shoot a movie on the property for a tidy sum. Meanwhile, Violet (Maggie Smith) is bequeathed a villa in the South of France by a man she knew for a short time. Also with Hugh Bonneville, Jim Carter, Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Allen Leech, Tuppence Middleton, Imelda Staunton, Penelope Wilton, Harry Hadden-Paton and Sue Johnston. A man moves to kiss a married woman and asks her if he can, and she tells him “No.” A woman kisses a young man on the cheek and he is smitten.
 People dance at a party.
 A man proposes marriage to a woman and she accepts. A man asks another man to go with him to America and he accepts. A woman says when asked about her beauty, “Every man in the room just wants to give you one,” and other people in the room are taken aback. A man says that a man he had a relationship with is getting married and that he is sad. People talk about a man suffering persecution, rejection and loneliness because he is gay. A woman asks another woman if she was “sweet on” a man once. A relationship between a man and a woman is referred to as an “idyllic interlude.”
 Women wear low-cut dresses that reveal cleavage and bare backs in several scenes. A woman wears low-cut lingerie in a movie scene and we see cleavage and partial bare thighs at her stocking tops. A man and a woman wear swimwear and we see her cleavage, bare back and bare legs to the upper thighs and his bare shoulders and bare legs tot the thighs.

 – A woman says that another woman is “sinking fast” and we see her lying motionless on a bed as a doctor takes her pulse and indicates that she has died. A woman tells her husband that she has cancer and he becomes upset and cries.
 A woman throws a large vase on the floor shattering it. A young man and a young woman argue over who will take an actress her tea. A man yells when another man walks through a scene while filming. A woman is upset and cries when the film she is working on will be converted to a sound film and she is sure that her career is over. People talk about a woman going back to work and how she will manage with her young child. A man is upset when he thinks his father might not be who he thinks. A woman threatens to take people to court over a property. A man and a woman argue in a movie scene. A woman says that another woman is “sinking fast” and we see her lying motionless on a bed as a doctor takes her pulse and indicates that she has died. A woman says, “I’d rather earn my living down a mine.” People talk about their concerns about having a filmmaking crew on their property and expect them to cause damage or steal things; one man makes a comment about “mob rule.” A woman calls another woman her “sparring partner.” People call a woman a “goddess of the screen.” A woman says, “I don’t do nothing unless I feel like it.” A man says that a woman is not used to getting criticism.
